MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Dodoma Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (oUWASA) was established under section 3(1) of Cap. 272 of 1997 as repealed by section 60 of Water supply and Sanitation Act No. 12 of 2009. oUWASA is charged with the overall responsibility of operations and management of water supply and sanitation services in Dodoma urban within the Municipality.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, dynamic, experienced and performance driven Tanzanians, to fill in the following carrier opportunities:

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN (One Post)

Required Qualifications:
Holder of the Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution with at least three (3) years of working experience on the same capacity from a reputable organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
To carry out Mechanical inspection for water pumps, motor vehicles and motorcycles on weekly basis.
To carry out Mechanical inspection and maintenance of water pumps and motor vehicles after every set time and recommended kilometres run.
To ensure all electromechanical equipment at all pumping stations area inspected and serviced as scheduled.
Advice the head of section (MLE) on all Mechanical Maintenance matters. .
Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance and Logistic Engineer.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR THE POST: Permanent and Pensionable
AGE LIMIT: Applicants preferably be between 25- 40 years of age.

REMUNERATIONS: The posts carry attractive remunerations package subject to work professional competency, experience and qualifications.
