Key Responsibilities The Liaison Officer will manage the London office and will: - Oversee research, monitoring and advocacy on human rights in Western Hemisphere Commonwealth countries. - Lead advocacy with the Commonwealth Secretariat, the UK government, Commonwealth organisations, diplomats and key partners in the UK. - Develop project work and associated fundraising. - Manage two part-time volunteers engaged in research, monitoring and administration. - Liaise with Delhi headquarters on present work streams. Person Specification The Liaison Officer will possess; - A Masters or PhD degree in international human rights (or a closely associated field). - A flexible collegiate style enjoying working in a small team. - An ability to deal with competing demands, multiple priorities and tight time constraints. - An excellent written and spoken English including the ability to write and edit for high level audiences and a keen eye for accuracy and detail. |
