Top Manchester United player – in Jose Mourinho’s lineup – wants to come to Kenya

Spanish professional footballer and Manchester United creative midfielder Ander Herrera has said he hopes to visit Kenya soon.
Herrera took to Twitter to respond to a fan namely Yvonne Turner who asked him about his dream destinations in the world.
@AnderHerrera, is there somewhere in the world you would like to visit, a place where you haven’t been to yet?” posed Ms Turner.
In his response to Ms Turner, Herrera said: “Kenya, Tanzania, Colombia, Argentina… I still have to travel a lot.”
Should his dream materialise, then Herrera would join a long list of sports personalities who have toured Kenya.
His current manager at Manchester United Jose Mourinho visited Kenya in July 2010, where he toured the Maasai Mara in Narok County and Diani at the South Coast.
Another English Premier League top manager, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola visited Kenya in December 2015 accompanied by his wife Cristina Serra, and children Maria Guardiola, Marius Guardiola and Valentina Guardiola.
On landing the Guardiola took selfies with his Kenyan fans, including Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
Other sports personalities who toured Kenya in the past include: celebrated sprinter Usain Bolt, footballers Samuel Eto’o, Sunday Oliseh, Nwankwo Kanu, Arsenal legend Robert Pires, and ex-Chelsea Coach Roberto Di Matteo.

Ander Herrera began his career at Real Zaragoza before moving to Athletic Bilbao in 2011, and then to Manchester United for €36 million (KSh3.9 billion) in 2014.
He has won tournaments with Spain at under-20 and under-21 level and represented the nation at the 2012 Olympics.
He made his senior international debut in November 2016.
