Restless Development is the leading youth-led development agency, operating in Tanzania since 1993. Our mission is to demonstrate that young people are a positive asset to development, and can contribute to real progress towards national and global development targets.

Restless Development is working on civic participation as one of its strategic objectives to see to it that young people and the youth sector are significantly contributing to development processes, resulting in government policy and practice that is both beneficial and accountable to young people. To support the successful implementation of this project and broaden its reach across the country, an SMS Campaign activity will be designed whereby we will send mobile messages to beneficiaries to encourage and strengthen participation in the coming general election and invite feedback on the process from target groups to help inform the programme.

We are recruiting a consultant to assist in further developing and coordinating our youth SMS campaign platform. The Consultant will be responsible for designing a mobile campaign that enables Restless Development to reach out and establish relationships with its audiences and target groups in a more individualized way. The campaign will need to be focused on engaging the audience and target groups with Restless Development through a “call to action” or information request. These “calls to actions” will be consistently emphasized throughout all channels. Through the database created in campaigns, Restless Development will be able to collect and organize responses, keep in contact with the general public and have a sample user case for the “Fahamu, Ongea, Sikilizwa” campaign.
