MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN - 1 POST
Reports to: MECHANICAL ENGINEER

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To execute planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance. Troubleshooting, installing, servicing and repair of generating sets and their accessories.

Specifically you will be responsible for:
Performing minor and major maintenance, adjustments and repairs on mechanical equipment including pumps.
Conducting thoroughly daily inspection of generating sets and their accessories and report to Maintenance Supervisor for any defects and carry out remedies.
Carrying out visual inspection of equipment and instruments and to report any faults and defects.
'Proper keeping of working tools.
To assist Maintenance supervisor in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Prepare and submit status reports on weekly and monthly basis.
Restoring the system in the shortest possible time during the system/plant outages.
Performing any other technical duties which maybe assigned by Maintenance Engineer

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Form Four / Six Certificates
Holder of Full Technician Certificate in Electrical or Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering
from a recognized learning Institution
Computer Literate
