Electronic Media Program Officer at SIKIKA

Job Title: Electronic Media Program Officer (1 post)

Reporting to: Head of Department, Media & Communication

Job Purpose: To produce and share strategic campaign messages on health governance and social accountability issues through Electronic Media

Responsibilities

a) Support the HOD in ensuring timely planning, implementation and monitoring of engagement of the department as stipulated in the Sikika strategic 2011-2015 plan

b) Take a lead role in production of creative electronic materials

c) Create & develop story lines and direct production of electronic programs

d) Provide technical advise on production of documentaries/advocacy programs

e) Work with production companies during documentary production, filming and editing of Radio &TV spots & documentaries

f) Edit filmed materials ready for Sikika’s You Tube

g) Monitor Sikika aired programs to ensure contractual compliance

h) Write and produce high quality communication materials, including website content, and effectively communicate these across key audiences

i) Organize press conferences and other media related activities

j) Prepare various reports as required by your supervisors and as per organisation plan

k) Support the implementation of other Media related activities as assigned by Head of Department

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in a related field, Masters a plus. Not less than 3 years experience in any credible Media Institution, knowledge in Social media and web-based communication are considerable additions.
