POSITION; SENIOR VSLA MANAGER (1 POSITION)
Tanzania Postal Bank (TPB) seeks to appoint dedicated, self motivated and highly organized Senior VSLA Manager (1 position) to join the Directorate of Marketing and Business Development team. The work station is Dar es Salaam.
Reporting Line: Director of Marketing and Business Development
Locations: Head Office
Work Schedule: As per TPB Staff regulations

Salary: Commensurate to the Job Advertised
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-
1. Planning, Organizing and Executing VSLA Strategies
2. Liaise with Branch Managers on VSLA Performance for Branch
3. Responsible for Mobilizing Savings in all TPB Branches/POS network
4. Design VSLA Product that would suit VSLA segment and modify the existing product whenever its necessary
5. Preparing Sales Report on a weekly, monthly & Quarterly Basis
6. Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Mobilizing savings from both formal and informal groups or associations.
• Creating Financial Linkages to the Bank with NGOs.
• Work closely with other Directorate and Branch Managers in supporting and recruitment of VSLA-groups and VSLA officers.
• Identifies business opportunities by identifying Groups Needs and evaluating their position and crafting appropriate product & services.
• Identifying supporting Partners in creating values for groups-capacity Building, Financial literacy and Saving Culture at large.
• Managing a Team of Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA) officers
• Involved in Recruitment & Training of VSLA officers and stationing them to respective Location/Groups
• Involved in Training of The Trainer (TOT) as well groups from time to time.
• Advising the Management about the Groups Opportunities and Challenges on how to create value and solving resolutions.
• Maintains relationships with Local Government/Private Institutions/NGO’s for the betterment of the Group.
• Ensuring Groups/Members have Opened Bank account and they are active.
• Providing support, information, and guidance to the VSLA team and other stakeholders researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
• Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
• Prepares Daily/Weekly/Monthly Quarterly reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information from Branches and VSLA-officers
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing TPB Bank standards.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensure that VSLA officers visit each group as per the training schedule
• Collect data on the groups as required by the training schedule, and submit to the Supervisor

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• Degree in rural development, social administration, business management or any degree from a recognized institution. Teaching certificate will be an added advantage.
• Ability to capture and document business and reporting requirement from multiple sources, Strong communication skills both written and Verbal, Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and a team player.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ddealing with VSLA/VICOBA will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Ms Office application, including word, excel, Project and Power point,
Skills / Attributes:
(i) Prioritized tasks and organization
(ii) Wwork independent with minimal supervision
(iv) Adherence to the regulations and company policies
(v) Strong Customer Service acumen
(vii) Higher ability to identify and manage business.
