Health Systems Expert - USAID East, Central, and South Africa (ECSA)

IBTCI has served governments, private sector companies and several donor agencies.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
IBTCI is seeking a Health Systems Expertfor the East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) evaluation. The purpose of the evaluation is to assess ECSA-HC performance in implementing USAID/East Africa and USAID/South Africa's projects and the contribution to USAID's development objectives. The evaluation is expected to last 5-6 weeks with some additional pre-field and post-field work.
Health Systems Expert:
The Health Systems Expert, together with the Team Leader, will finalize the evaluation methodology; develop the data collection strategy, instruments, and protocols; direct data collection and compilation; and conduct data analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
  • Advanced degree in public health, health systems management, social sciences, or a related subject
Desired Experience:
  • Several years' experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa;
  • Knowledgeable in program assessment and evaluation methodologies (evaluation data collection methods and data analysis methods);
  • Experience in health systems management, health information systems, institutional capacity assessments, institutional capacity strengthening and/or other related areas;
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English; and
  • Prior experience with USAID highly desired.
