SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The Contractors Registration Board is a Government Regulatory Board under the Ministry of Works established by Act of Parliament No 17 of 1997 with the objective to register and regulate all types of Contractors and to promote the development of their capacities for the purpose of protecting consumers of construction services in Tanzania.
In order to carry out its functions effectively and thereby meet its objective, the Board needs a dynamic, creative and performance driven Tanzanian citizen to fill the following positions.

Senior Accountant (ONE POST).

Qualifications:
Holder of Degree in Commerce and CPA (f) or Equivalent qualification and who is registered with relevant professional Board as an Associate member with at least five years post graduate experience in Accounting Function.

Reports to: Assistant 'Registrar Finance and Administration


Duties:
To verify daily collection report
To prepare Monthly payroll
To prepare Monthly Bank Reconciliation
To scrutinise supporting documents for preparation of PV
To update the General Ledger of the Board
To prepare periodic Financial Reports
To verify debtors' statements of accounts
To assist-in the preparation of Annual Budget
To administer collection of Fees, Penalties, and recovery of Other Debts
To maintain Fixed Assets Register
To Deal with Internal and External Auditors
To administer accounting policies and procedures
To Deal with Internal and External Auditors
