We are accepting applications for a Communications & Marketing Manager to assist with the promotion and media relations of Red Sweater Project and The Mungere School.
The Mungere School opened in 2012 and serves the students of Mungere Village as a highly ranking school in the Arusha Region. Our international offices demand the passion and organization of a dedicated professional. The Communications & Marketing Manager will coordinate and work primarily with the Executive Director and Development Director in the United States and Tanzania.
Time Commitment Salary
40 hours per week $300/month
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and implement the organization's communication strategies, marketing communications and internal public relation activities
- Responsible for editorial direction, design and production and distribution of all organization publications, including e-newsletter, social media and web media
- Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications goals and financial objectives; including progress reports to the Executive Director
- Measure the success of comprehensive marketing and communications
- Assist PR Director with preparation and editing of organizational publications
- Identify key trends to develop communications strategies to increase organizational message exposure
- Provide appropriate responses to media requests
- Act as the organization's representative with the media, when needed
- Lead projects as assigned, such a cause-related marketing and special events
- General advertising and promotion
Qualifications
- Minimum 4-year degree
- 2-4 years work experience in a communications or public relations office, preferred management role
- Experience with social media handle management, email and donor communication
- Organization and attention to detail, ability to hit deadlines
- Flexibility to work individually and as part of a diverse team
- Professionalism and passion
