The Position
Reporting to Audit Manager, the job holder will be required to  provide independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes to add value and improve organization’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute in conducting risk assessment for assigned audit assignments
  • Perform audit procedures to give assurance on effectiveness and efficiency of control environment, and compliance to KCB Group policies and Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) Prudential guidelines.

The Person:

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGER, KCB CAPITAL


The Position:
Reporting to the Head of KCB Capital and working closely with the Head of Brokerage. This will involve working closely with both the Brokerage and Advisory Teams. The role involves building deep relationships with the firms deal intermediaries such as Investment and Corporate Bankers, Business Brokers, Corporate Development Professionals in order to propose ways of providing clients with value add solutions using the array of Investment Banking Products.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a partnership between investment banking and its internal and external clients.
  • Develop a client retention and deal origination implementation plan for investment banking.
  • Communicate regularly and build deep relationships with the firms’ internal network as well as external deal intermediaries. Ensure that both internal and external clients feel their needs are met and communicate to all issues and proposed solutions.
  • Analyze complex financial information, simplify and suggest value add solutions that get client buy in as matching their concerns and requirements.
  • Provide seamless, timely, attentive and responsive service to customers.

The Person:
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
  • University Degree preferably in a business related field.
  • Professional qualifications (CFA/KIB/ACIB/CPA/ACCA) or MBA is an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in  an Investment Banking Service focused Institution or a Brokerage Environment and must have proven experience in at least one of the following areas:

The Position:

Reporting to the Head, Investment Banking, the person in this position will be responsible for preparation of management and financial reports, enhance internal controls whilst ensuring compliance with the IFRS, Taxation Act and regulatory guidelines as outlined by Capital Markets Authority.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this position will be;
  • Prepare the monthly financial performance and the accompanying analysis for the Investment Banking Business.
  • Prepare the quarterly financial reports for consolidation by the Group ensuring they comply with the relevant regulations and in accordance to the Group timelines.
  • Coordinate the Strategic plans and annual plans for the business in liaison with the Head, Investment Banking.
  • Coordinate audits by internal auditors, external auditors, Capital Markets Authority inspectors, and KRA officials. To follow up all issues raised in audits and inspections reports and resolve them
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/IAS, Companies Act, Taxation Act and CMA guidelines.
  • Ensure all regulatory returns and any other information requested by the regulator is correctly compiled and submitted on time.
  • Ensure integrity of the general ledger through daily review and analysis and ensure that all Bank accounts and the relevant suspense are reconciled periodically.
  • To Validate and approve all payments related to the business in line with the laid down authorization limits and timings.
  • Ensure Continuous monitoring and recovery of current brokerage debtors.
  • Ensuring that there are adequate internal control procedures to minimize loss of income or misuse of company assets, and that all the set procedures are adhered to.
  • Manage the completion of all regular daily, weekly, monthly reporting with all associated commentaries including; month end actuals and forecasts/plan, for multiple key stakeholders (incl. Exec Committee, Board, custodians, Fund managers, Regulators; CBK,CMA) Ensure there is integrity of the data and consistency of format prior to delivery to stakeholders.
The Person:
In order to be considered for the above position all applicants should have the following:-
  • University Degree in a business related field from a recognized university. A Masters in any relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • The person must be a qualified accountant i.e. must be CPA (K), ACCA Fellow or a CFA Fellow.
  • At least 4 years management experience in a busy Investment Banking/ Brokerage environment, 3 of which should be in Financial and Management reporting.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience in Oracle Financials.
  • Sound knowledge of CMA guidelines and Kenyan Tax laws.
  • Should have a thorough knowledge of Investment Banking industry practice, products and services.
  • Understanding of IFRS/IAS and accounting principles.
  • Excellent planning, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent report writing skills.

Objective:Tocontribute to the realization of the organizations objectives bycoordinating and facilitating implementation of Sikika’s AWPactivities in the district”.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinating Social Accountability Monitoring (SAM) activities at District, ward and facility level

  • Working closely with office of the District Commissioner and District Council to ensure smooth implementation of SAM activities in the district.
  • Coordinating and supervising activities of SAM team in the district especially those related to Health and HIV/AIDS at district and facility level.
  • Organize / attend periodic meetings at community level to mobilize citizens and raise their awareness on accountability issues
  • Attend all Full Council meetings to track commitments and decisions made for monitoring of SAM district action plan
  • Promptly share with respective departments issues that come up during the implementation / monitoring of activities in the district
  • Conduct official and informal meetings with Ward Executive Officers (WEOs), Community Development Officers (CDOs), Village Executive Officers (VEOs) and Facility management committees and Multi-sectoral HIV & AIDS committees on accountability in the health sector
  • Encourage dialogue on health related issues between citizens and their leaders at village and ward level
  • Encourage participation of religious leaders, political leaders, opinion leaders, disadvantaged groups such as people with disability, people 




  • 2. Implement Sikika departments’ specific activities in your district. These will include:
    • living with HIV/AIDS in all activities aimed at promoting accountability at local level
    • Drafting and sharing progress made to head of Field Office on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
    • Prepares Singida rural reports with a clear alignment to our work plans and strategic plan.
  • Making follow up on reported cases of misconducts / unethical behaviors of health workers at facility level
  • Promoting community monitoring of health and HIV&AIDS services with focus on availability of medicines and supplies (including CD4 count machine), budget information and the importance of using existing complaint mechanisms
  • Distribute Sikika publications and track how such publications support citizens in understanding critical issues and how such information enables them to take actions
  • Contribute to Sikika’s quarterly newsletter by sending stories, best experiences and lessons from the field



3. Joint Advocacy and relationship with other actors 

  • Foster a good working relationship with Office of the District Commissioner (DC) and LGA (DED, DMO, DACC, CHAC) and head of health facilities by having periodic consultations and feedback meetings
  • Coordinate with other CSOs in the district in organizing experience sharing sessions on health at district level with the purpose of drawing lessons for advocacy work
  • Under guidance and in consultation with Head of Field Office in Dodoma, represent Sikika in all stakeholders meetings at district level


Required Qualifications
Education
A Bachelor Degree or higher degree in any Social science discipline.

Work Experience

A minimum of 2 years working experience in rural areas (Kiteto & Manyara areas preferred).

Key Skills and Abilities
The Jobholder must be fluent in both oral and written Swahili & English, possess reasonable skills in coordination, research, experience in analyzing written works

2015 UNESCO Internship programme - Tanzanians

 
UNESCO Internship programme
The purpose of the UNESCO Internship programme is to offer selected graduate and postgraduate students in a field related to the work of UNESCO the opportunity to supplement their academic knowledge with practical work assignments and to enable them to gain a better understanding of UNESCO’s mandate and programmes. The duration of an internship generally ranges between 2 and 6 months.
The programme also allows students of bilingual secretarial schools/technical institutions to gain practical experience in an international Organization.
Who can apply for an internship at UNESCO?
Students enrolled in a graduate or post-graduate degree program in a university or equivalent institution at the time of application. Applicants pursuing their studies in a country where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages must have completed at least 3 years of full-time studies in a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a degree.
Applicants must be undertaking studies in areas related to UNESCO’s fields of competence (namely, education, culture, sciences, communication and social sciences) or in other areas which support UNESCO’s work (such as law, human resource management, management studies, international relations, etc.)
Additional Requirements:

 Stock Controller 

Job purpose
1. Manage the purchasing and replenishment of the retail products thus maintaining the stock levels within the budget set by the business.
2. Carrying out stock control activities and maintaining store or storage premise standards to the agreed standards.. 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 
1. Ensure all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately in a timely manner. 
2. Responsibility for organizing for a purchase and the “in-stock” levels management.
3. Observe correct stock buying and receiving protocols. 
4. Complete all necessary monthly stock takes. 
5. Maintain the store premise and the space allocation for stock. 
6. Consistently deliver customer service in accordance with available customer service standards. 
7. Maintain and supervise merchandising standards, i.e. stock management, cleaning, shelf/ stock presentation, shelf ticketing, etc.
8. Maintain good working relationships with all the stakeholders. 
9. Comply with all aspects of the Standard Operating Procedures. 
10. Other work as directed by the Business Manager. 

Key Performance Indicators: 
· Store Sales: Improvement in total store sales is the key objective for all team members. 
· Purchasing budget: Maintain the store purchasing budget as agreed with the Business Manager. 
· Stock levels: Maintain stock levels while at the same time managing the Purchasing Budget. 
· On time performance: You must get to work within the required timeframes.

  • Attend all Full Council meetings to track commitments and decisions made for monitoring of SAM district action plan
  • Promptly share with respective departments issues that come up during the implementation / monitoring of activities in the district
  • Conduct official and informal meetings with Ward Executive Officers (WEOs), Community Development Officers (CDOs), Village Executive Officers (VEOs) and Facility management committees and Multi-sectoral HIV & AIDS committees on accountability in the health sector
  • Encourage dialogue on health related issues between citizens and their leaders at village and ward level
  • Encourage participation of religious leaders, political leaders, opinion leaders, disadvantaged groups such as people with disability, people 




  • 2. Implement Sikika departments’ specific activities in your district. These will include:
    • living with HIV/AIDS in all activities aimed at promoting accountability at local level
    • Drafting and sharing progress made to head of Field Office on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
    • Prepares Singida rural reports with a clear alignment to our work plans and strategic plan.
  • Making follow up on reported cases of misconducts / unethical behaviors of health workers at facility level
  • Promoting community monitoring of health and HIV&AIDS services with focus on availability of medicines and supplies (including CD4 count machine), budget information and the importance of using existing complaint mechanisms
  • Distribute Sikika publications and track how such publications support citizens in understanding critical issues and how such information enables them to take actions
  • Contribute to Sikika’s quarterly newsletter by sending stories, best experiences and lessons from the field



3. Joint Advocacy and relationship with other actors 

  • Foster a good working relationship with Office of the District Commissioner (DC) and LGA (DED, DMO, DACC, CHAC) and head of health facilities by having periodic consultations and feedback meetings
  • Coordinate with other CSOs in the district in organizing experience sharing sessions on health at district level with the purpose of drawing lessons for advocacy work
  • Under guidance and in consultation with Head of Field Office in Dodoma, represent Sikika in all stakeholders meetings at district level


Required Qualifications
Education
A Bachelor Degree or higher degree in any Social science discipline.

Work Experience

A minimum of 2 years working experience in rural areas (Kiteto & Manyara areas preferred).

Key Skills and Abilities
The Jobholder must be fluent in both oral and written Swahili & English, possess reasonable skills in coordination, research, experience in analyzing written works
