ALAES INSURANCE Agency Under the corporation of NAM Company Limited is looking for a qualified candidates to fill the position(s) of Insurance Officers.Two(2) posts.
Responsibilities of Insurance Officer
• analyze the claim and decide whether it is covered by the policy
• appoint insurance loss adjusters and private investigators when required
• manage long-term claims and reassess them regularly
• make recommendations for the settlement of claims
• inform clients if claims are accepted and how they will be allocated
• organize payments to clients
• organize the repair or replacement of lost items
• make sure all inquiries and payments are dealt with quickly
• Maintaining a customer database and keep clients' files updated
• record payments made and received
• contact independent experts in the case of disputes and attend disputes tribunals.
• Helping out on mergers and acquisitions
• Giving technical and market support
• Liaising with legal departments to keep updated on the government regulations
• Giving presentations to build their client base
• Attending networking events
• Hitting sales targets
• Visiting clients (when required)
• Investigating customer’s needs and advising appropriate insurance
Competencies Required
• Certificate of Insurance Practice, and or significant relevant work experience in the insurance profession and claims handling not less than five ( 5 ) years.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Proven ability of working under pressure and on own initiative (to solicit information and clarification), with the minimal of supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to be tactful, discreet and diplomatic in all communications.
• Good Computer database and spreadsheet skills, with the ability to interrogate, produce and interpret statistics and financial data.
• Must to be able to recognize and work to deadlines and achieve targets.
• Experience of managing liability, property and all other claims that may be associated with a public sector body.
AGE: Not more than 40 years.
